Paradigm will expand its PCS Series in late October 2010 with the PCS-82SQ, an in-wall subwoofer featuring dual eight-inch drivers. The 82SQ’s chassis can be mounted directly into a wall or installed with its optional BX-82SQ backbox. Each woofer in the Glass-Reinforced Injection-Molded Polymer (GRIP) chassis has a 38mm voice coil, long travel suspension, and a large ceramic ferrite magnetic structure.

The 82SQ can be paired with Paradigm’s Ultra-Class-D X-300 amplifier that is capable of 900 watts of Dynamic Peak Power and 300 watts of RMS Sustained. This amplifier uses Paradigm’s Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and is capable of driving two 82SQ subwoofers for whole theaters looking for that extra oomph. The 82SQ can also benefit from Paradigm’s Perfect Bass Kit, designed for clean, clear, and accurate bass reproduction.

The 82SQ will retail for $449 and has the following specifications:

Dual 8″ (210 mm) drivers
19 Hz (DIN) low frequency extension
Subwoofer cut-off frequency of variable 23 Hz – 150 Hz
H X W X D = 16.75 in x 9.24 in x 3.94 in
Finish: White, paintable
