Onkyo Debuts CS-V645 and CS-445 Mini Systems

Onkyo introduces its newest audio-video mini system model CS-445 CD mini system and announces its upcoming model CS-V645 DVD/CD mini system.

The CS-445 CD Mini System is already available for the suggested retail price of $329 and is well suited for use at the office, bedroom, dorm room, or summer cottage. This system is able to play CD, CD-R, and CD-RW media with standard CD-audio, MP3, or WMA files; the top panel dock supports iPod and iPhone products to increase music sources.

The CS-V645 DVD/CD Mini System will be released in December at the suggested retail price of $399. This system features a built-in dock for iPod and iPhone, as well as USB support and auxiliary input. Video programs are upscaled to 1080p resolution for output to a high definition video display over HDMI, allowing the system to play from a wide range of audio and video formats such as DVDs, CDs, iPod and USB sources, with full support for MP3, WMA, JPEG, and DivX file formats.

Both systems will have a powerful 40-watt stereo amplifier sections and a pair of high-performance two-way bass-reflex loudspeakers with 1-inch soft dome tweeters and the company’s signature OMF (Onkyo Micro Fiber) woofer cones. The CS-V645’s DVD receiver will already have a 20-preset FM tuner and the CS-445 CD receiver will have a 40 preset AM/FM tuner, and both models will include a full-function remote control.

    AGREED on the speakers – but Bose sounds "better" thats subjective
