Stanley Kubrick’s ultraviolence A Clockwork Orange is getting special treatment by way of a 40th anniversary Blu-ray edition, due to be released May 31 from Warner Bros. The $34.99 two-disc set will feature Jan Harlan’s Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures, a documentary from Jan Harlan, film producer and brother of Stanley Kubrick’s widow, Christiane.
Other bonus features include Malcolm McDowell Looks Back: Introduction and Prologue; Turning Like Clockwork, a feature focusing on the film’s ultra-violence and cultural impact; commentary by Malcolm McDowell and historian Nick Redman; the documentary Still Tickin’: The Return of Clockwork Orange; Great Bolshy Yarblockos!: Making A Clockwork Orange; and the theatrical trailer.
The film will be presented in 1080p high definition with a 1.66:1 aspect ratio.
