MartinLogan Now Shipping New ElectroMotion Speakers

MartinLogan is adding two new speakers to its ElectroMotion line: the ElectroMotion C2 and FX2. Both speakers feature MartinLogan’s “Folded Motion” thin film transducer technology, which allows for a lower distortion tweeter. The Folded Motion XT tweeter features a 40-percent larger radiating surface compared to speakers in MartinLogan’s Motion Series.

The ElectroMotion C2 is a center-channel speaker sized similarly to traditional receivers and is meant to fit discretely within an audio/video cabinet. The C2 has dual, 5.25-inch high-excursion, doped fiber-cone woofers and is rated at 94dB. The FX2, a surround speaker, has a 6.5-inch doped fiber-cone woofer for powerful low-frequency extension. The FX2 is available in either black or white, and can be wall- or corner-mounted for flexible placement within one’s home theater. Both ElectroMotion speakers also designed with MartinLogan’s push-style terminals, featuring curved inserts that help guide speaker wire into place.
