PSB has expanded its Imagine line of speakers to include a cute new addition: the aptly named Mini. With technology borrowed from the company’s critically-acclaimed Synchrony Series, the Mini promises to be equally well suited to movies as well as music, and at a mere 5.75 x 9.25 x 8.3 inches, and weighing in at only 6.5 lbs, it’s anything but a space hog.
The Mini features a 4-inch woofer with a clay-ceramic compounded polypropylene cone and rubber surround, as well as a powerful neodymium Turbo-Magnet in addition to the main ceramic magnet, for increased low frequency performance; a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter crossed over at 2.2 kHz to minimize interference and improve dispersion; and a rear port bass reflex.
Prices start at $760/pair for Black Ash, Dark Cherry, or Walnut in furniture-grade wood veneers and $830/pair for premium High Gloss Black or High Gloss White finishes.
