Vuzix Wrap 1200 Video EyewearThe Vuzix Wrap 1200 Video Eywear are a pair of “glasses” with a video projection inside that is equivalent to viewing a 16:9 aspect ratio 75-inch display from 10 feet. This is nothing new, but the Wrap 1200 is compatible with both 2D and 3D content, meaning you can start accruing 3D Blu-rays and watching them in the very intimate setting of your sunglasses.

Wrap 1200 features AccuTilt technology, which allows the user to adjust the eyewear up or down 15 degrees. This lets you choose the optimum viewing angle and customize the fit of your glasses display. The Wrap 1200 also has optics that allow you to position the dual displays to match the IPD (Interpupillary Distance, or eye separation) of each user. This is what the optician does at the store to fit the lenses on your glasses to your eyes rather than just a drugstore brand of glasses with no IPD adjustments.

Additional fine-tuning adjustments such as brightness, contrast, hue, and color saturation are tuned through on-screen display controls. If you normally wear prescription glasses, you’ll like that there’s an independent left and right eye focal adjustment. However you can wear the Wrap 2100s over most prescription glasses. The eyewear features both component and composite video connections for connection to game consoles, media players, phones, DVD players, tablets, and just about anything else that’ll put out a video signal.

The Wrap 1200 comes with two rechargeable AA batteries and a charger, which provides up to three hours of video playback. You can also substitute two lithium ion batteries for up to seven hours.

Price: $499.99.
