Grace Digital Audio has released its new Mondo WiFi Media Player.  As with most of Grace’s offerings, the Mondo streams content from a variety of sources, including Pandora, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM Internet Radio, NPR, CNN, BBC, NOAA, Weatherbug, and 18,000 AM/FM/HD radio.  It can also play music from your PC, Mac, or network attached storage device.  A USB thumb drive containing music can also be plugged straight into the unit (the USB port can also be used for an optional USB-to-Ethernet dongle).

The Mondo packs a 3.5” color display, 5 alarm settings, dedicated snooze/sleep button, 30 backlight settings, and audio that promises to deliver solid bass, detailed midrange, and crisp clear highs. WiFi connectivity (802.11n) is built-in and easily connects to any 802.11b/g/n wireless router.  No extra hardware or PC is required for initial setup.  The Mondo is sized to fit your bedside table, kitchen counter, or even your patio table.  With the optional lithium-ion battery back, this little bugger should be a great portable radio.

Control is handled through either the included IR remote, or via the color display and front-mounted controls.  Free iPhone/iPad and Android apps are also available.  The Mondo also has the full complement of expected (or unexpected, given the competition) connections, including a headphone jack, RCA-outs, and aux-in jacks.  The I/O options on this unit make it a good addition to an existing home theater or stereo, or as a great multipurpose radio in a smaller room.

The Mondo WiFi Music Player is available now for an MSRP of $179.99.  It is available in both an elegant white and piano black finish.
