If you still haven’t picked up the Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition Blu-ray set (reviewed here, if you need a reminder of how awesome this set is), now’s your chance. This week (through tomorrow, June 2, 2012) Amazon has the entire fifteen-disc set available at the best price we’ve seen to date: $48.99. That’s 59% off of retail (supposedly. I’m too tired to check Amazon’s math).

For you eternal procrastinators, there are a couple of good reasons to hop on this deal while it lasts. Firstly, the price probably isn’t going to get much cheaper anytime soon. Even if it does, though, the value of this set goes down a bit on June 26, 2012. After that date, you’ll no longer be able to use the digital copy download codes included in the box. The digital copies are not provided on any of the fifteen discs in this collection.

Buy The Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition (Blu-ray) now at Amazon.
