Home automation companies are realizing the important role iOS devices can play in controlling users’ systems as ubiquitous, inexpensive touchscreen devices, and URC is no exception to that trend. The company has released two iOS home automation control apps: one for iPad, and another for iPhone and iPod Touch.
Owners of URC’s Total Control systems can now use an iOS device to control any number of Total Control features: multi-room music and movies, lighting, security, and climate. A one-time setup fee of $199 will allow Total Control systems to recognize the new apps, which are now available on Apple’s App Store. The URC iOS apps will allow users to add additional devices in the future at no extra cost.
These apps work with URC’s MRX-10 Advanced Network System Controller. A single setup code is all that’s required for system integration with the iOS apps and devices.
