While you can get the Big Box o’Bond by purchasing Bond 50 on Blu-ray, if you just want to fill in your collection one movie at a time, you’re going to be peeping your Goldeneyes at every retailer in the phone book to get them, probably at least until SkyFall‘s Blu-ray release sometime in the February/March window next year
The breakdown is as follows
WalMart: Goldeneye, Diamonds are Forever, Octopussy (odd choice for the “family retailer!”)
Target: A View to a Kill, The Living Daylights, and Tomorrow Never Dies
Best Buy: On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, You Only Live Twice, and The Spy Who Loved Me
Looks like Best Buy is getting the short end of the stick on this selection. No word on Steelbooks or digibooks, but the money usually spent on those was probably spent on the exclusives, which likely were bid on individually. Look for them to drop, one at a time, on October 2.
