The 2012 Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo officially starts tomorrow, but the news is already rolling in from the show. HAI by Leviton will be exhibiting a Bluetooth Remote Input Module for its Hi-Fi 2 Distributed Audio System at the show. The Bluetooth Remote Input Device (RIM) allows Bluetooth-enabled devices to wirelessly broadcast stored and streaming music throughout a home or business. The RIM also has an input for wired devices such as radio tuners and DVD players.
The RIM can accommodate up to eight Bluet00th-enabled devices and works with playlists from content providers such as Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, iTunes, Google Music or YouTube. The RIM connects to the Hi-Fi 2 via a single Cat5 cable, which can deliver music to up to 16 zones.
