NPR paid a little visit to CBS Digital a few weeks ago, to talk to the people responsible for Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s epic restoration. Host John Rabe “shows” you with audio manipulation the difference between SD and HD, and helps interpret the experience for the common fan. In addition, if you stick around for the last word, there’s news on an HD upgrade of Deep Space Nine.
The first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation hit Blu-ray back in July, with the second season due in December, and future seasons planned to run through early 2014.
