If you’re thinking about a new LG 3DTV, and you’re worried about having enough content to watch, LG’s new deal with Disney has you covered:

Using the LG 3D World App embedded on a series of connected TVs, users can rent Disney titles such as Marvel’s The Avengers, Pixar’s Brave, Toy Story, John Carter, G-Force, Tangled, Alice in Wonderland and future theatrical releases Wreck-it Ralph, Oz: The Great and Powerful and James Cameron’s Ghosts of the Abyss, among others. New titles are added each week, in addition to a portfolio of more than 300 free non-Disney 3D content, including documentaries, entertainment, kids, lifestyle and sports.

For a limited time, LG is offering a $50 credit for up to 10 movie rentals in LG 3D World with the purchase of a 3D-enabled smart TV. Qualifying models include 47-, 55- and 65-inch screen sizes of the LM6200 LG Cinema 3DTVs

Finding 3D Blu-rays for rent is problematic at best, and given the quality of the selection, it’ll hopefully encourage new 3DTV owners to experience more of what the format has to offer. It’d be great if these features could be extended to VUDU and other VOD platforms. I know I’d pay a dollar or two more for the choice, and I’m sure a lot of other 3D enthusaists would, too.
