These days, everybody’s going mini. HAI by Leviton has announced a compact version of its Hi-Fi 2 distributed audio system. HAI sees this four-zone, four-source system as ideal for buildings with  multiple units, or for luxury hotel suites, condominiums, and small office buildings. The mini Hi-Fi 2 can be controlled with an included remote, or via HAI’s Android or iPhone app.

The system offers 20 watts per channel and fits directly into a Leviton Structured Media Center wiring enclosure at half-width. Users will be able to share music with any room that has speakers connected to the system. The system has optional wireless Bluetooth capability, and HAI’s Remote Input Module features a routed IR emitter jack for remotely controlling existing source equipment from any room that has a volume source control.

The Hi-Fi 2 4×4 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2012.
