Polk Audio is showcasing several products at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show, but one in particular — the Woodbourne Wireless Speaker System — is likely to attract the most attention. With the 180-watt  Woodbourne, Polk is entering the tabletop audio market for the first time.

Polk’s speaker system features five inputs. The unit is compatible with Apple’s AirPlay and can also connect to other devices via Bluetooth. The Woodbourne has a digital optical connection designed for televisions, CD or DVD players, and FM tuners. A USB port is built in for direct connection to iOS devices, and the speaker also includes an analog port for use with older equipment.

The tabletop speaker, which weighs just over 17 pounds, measures 24 inches wide by 7 inches high and 6 7/8 inches deep. The unit includes two 5 1⁄4”-inch mineral filled injection molded PP cone mid-woofers with rubber surrounds and two 1” silk dome tweeters.

Polk has designed the Woodbourne to look great in living rooms, offices, dens, and kitchens. The speaker’s white cabinet is accented with a mahogany wood veneer and a brass-finished user interface.

The Woodbourne Premium Audio System will be available in the second quarter of 2013. For more information visit Polk or call 866.764.1801.
