At CES 2013 in Las Vegas, IOGEAR is debuting a few products aimed at getting your content to the screens, sans cables.
The first is also a first in the industry — a wireless HD matrix. The GWHDMS52 Wireless 5×2 HD Matrix allows you to transmit HD content up to 100 feet from the switcher, making adding another display into your system easy as can be.
Inputs include 4x HDMI, 1x component, and 1x USB. The transmitter also includes 1x HDMI out to connect to your display. The second display is driven by a wireless receiver that includes an HDMI & USB out. Full 1080p, 3d and 5.1-channel audio are all supported. Adding another display without doubling up on components is now easier than ever.
The Wireless 5×2 HD Matrix will be available this spring for an MSRP of $399.
The other two products go hand in hand. The Wireless Mobile and WiDi to HDTV (GWAVR) supports WiDi and Miracast streaming to your TV from your smartphone, table, or laptop. With support for both iOS and Android wireless devices, streaming to your HDTV is a snap. The iMediaShare app also enables streaming from select web content providers including Vimeo, Facebook, Picasa, and YouTube. The device takes care of the streaming, while your smartphone or tablet acts as a remote control.
The Wireless 1080p Computer to HD Display Kit (GUWAVKIT4) enables streams high definition video from a PC or Apple laptop to an HDTV up to 30 feet away. Building on previous product releases, the fourth generation IOGEAR product offers easy-to-use, reliable Apple compatibility and supports Microsoft’s Windows 8. The smaller, horizontal profile of the wireless receiver will fit into almost any home entertainment space and features one HDMI and one VGA output for video support.
The Wireless Mobile and WiDi to HDTV (GWAVR) and Wireless 1080p Computer to HD Display Kit (GUWAVKIT4) will also be available this spring for an MSRP of $79.95 & $149.95 respectively.
