If, like me, you’re in the habit of checking Amazon’s Gold Box Deal of the Day every morning, you may have already noticed that the Ben-Hur: 50th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition is today’s featured item, at 59% off. That brings the grand total on this massive three-disc set — which includes the legendary 1959 film spread across two Blu-rays, and the 1925 version (although thankfully not the dreadful recent remake) on the third, along with tons of other extras — down to a low $26.49.
If you already have that collection, you probably didn’t bother clicking through to see the details, but Amazon also has some bonus Deals of the Day on classic Oscar winners below the fold, the book-enhanced Blu-rays of which you can snag for $13.99, while supplies last. (And I’m guessing that won’t be long at these prices.)
Those titles include:
- Citizen Kane: 70th Anniversary Edition
- What Ever Happened to Baby Jane: 50th Anniversary Edition (which, despite being one disc, carries over all of the bonus features from the two-disc DVD edition)
- Unforgiven [Blu-ray Book] (ditto on all of the features from the two-disc DVD)
- GoodFellas: 20th Anniversary Edition
As always, these deals are good today only, February 20, 2013, and if Amazon runs out of stock, the sale is over, so if you need to catch up on any of these classic Academy Award winners in high-def, here’s your chance to save up to 61%.
