Joss Whedon is certainly one of the hottest names in entertainment these days, with a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing hitting cinemas this summer, a new S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series in the works (thankfully on ABC, not Fox), and, of course, a sequel to last year’s blockbuster The Avengers coming in 2015.
But for some of us, Whedon has been an entertainment god for years now, thanks to classic TV series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and of course, Firefly, which I often bring up in conversations these days by saying “Downton Abbey is the best thing on TV since…”
