Channel Vision 6544-SideChannel Vision seems to release a new surveillance camera every week, and while most aim to fill a special application niche, this one is a little different.  The 6544 Wireless Bullet IP Camera is exactly what it’s name indicates — a Wi-Fi-enabled, bullet IP camera — and aims to make camera installation and placement easier than ever.

The 6544 sports a 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, with the ability to capture images up to 1280×800 at a full 30 fps.  On-board H.264 compression allows for smaller file sizes, which facilitate easier transmission and smaller storage needs, yet still deliver maximum resolution and frame rates.  There are 35 built-in IR LEDs, ensuring you can see up to 65 feet in total darkness.  The wireless system is aimed for wide coverage and is based on the 802.11n spec, although it is 802.11 g & b compatible.

6544-FrontInstallation is also easier than similar cameras from Channel Vision.  Cable management is a breeze, as there are fewer cables, meaning no more feeding the camera pigtail through the narrow mount.  The 6544’s IP66 rated design allows for outdoor installation in any weather conditions.

Monitoring can be done via any of Channel Vision’s traditional IP monitoring solutions, including your computer and iOS or Android device.  As with all of Channel Vision’s offerings, the 6544 comes packaged with the company’s CMS software and support for Channel Vision’s DDNS service.

The Channel Vision 6544 Wireless Bullet IP Camera is available now through the company’s network of custom retailers, distributors, and dealers for an MSRP of $590.
