Samson MediaOne BT5 Bluetooth Active MonitorSamson Technologies is expanding its MediaOne line of active monitors with three new models that are Bluetooth enabled. The company is also giving away a pair of MediaOne speakers (as well as an Apple iPad mini and an iTunes gift card) in a contest that runs now through August 16, 2013.

The new MediaOne monitors are available in three flavors: the BT3 ($99), the BT4 ($149), and the BT5 ($199). The BT3 features a three-inch woofer with a 1-inch tweeter and 15 watts per channel RMS. The BT4 offers a four-inch woofer with 20 watts per channel, while the BT5, which also offers 20 watts per channel, is built with a five-inch woofer.

Samson has engineered the MediaOne BT line with copolymer woofers that promise to deliver a controlled low frequency response. The monitors’ silk dome tweeters are also designed to offer natural sound in the high frequencies without excess noise. The enclosures are all-black satin vinyl and ship with matching metal grills.

The BT series offers RCA inputs and passive monitor terminals, but most users will likely pair these speakers with laptops, tablets, or smart phones thanks to the built-in Bluetooth capability. The back panel features a pairing button, and an LED Bluetooth indicator. The front panel offers level control, as well as both a headphone output and stereo input.

The MediaOne BT line will be available this September. For more information visit Samson Technologies. Check out Samson’s Facebook page for information on the contest.
