JVC KW-ADV65BT Multimedia Receiver

LAS VEGAS, NV — JVC Mobile Entertainment has introduced four new audio-video multimedia receivers for 2013 with enhanced features such as the App Link Mode with Extended Control for iPhone, improved Bluetooth function and Pandora Internet Radio Support for Android phones.

Three head units (KW-AV61, KW-AV61BT, KW-AV71BT) will be a part of the regular multimedia series and one Arsenal high-end model (KW-ADV65BT) is also included in the lineup.

The JVC multimedia product line is SiriusXM-ready and is compatible with the SXV200 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (sold separately, SiriusXM subscription required). The SXV200 receives SiriusXM’s expanded commercial-free music, sports and comedy channel lineup. It is a compact solution that can be mounted behind the dashboard and connects directly to the receiver using one simple cable, making it plug and play – no tuner programming required.

All JVC multimedia receivers include App Link Mode, a feature which enhances the user experience of certain iPhone apps with live on-screen graphic display and music/audio playback through the vehicle’s speakers. For 2013, JVC will be introducing even more compatible apps, which work with App Link including Navigation with POI Search, Music Streaming, Drive Recorder, and Vehicle Information Alerts, etc.

An upgrade for 2013 is the App Link Mode with Extended Control for iPhone devices connected via USB. This will enable the user to take advantage of additional functionality and control of their iPhone apps directly from the entire app interface shown the unit’s touch-screen display. Both App Link Mode and App Link Mode with Extended Control use the optional JVC KS-U30 video cable for iPhone and iPod.

Bluetooth connectivity is built-in to all four receivers for a safer and more in-sync driving experience. An on-screen voice command button allows for voice dialing activation with the ability to automatically detect the voice recognition on smart phones. In addition, manual echo cancellation and microphone level adjustments provide the user with more control over variable situations. Android devices will also be able to control Pandora Internet Radio through wireless commands such as play/pause, fast forward, rewind, etc.

Similarly, all Bluetooth supported models will allow for simple pairing of up to five compatible devices, voice dialing and audio streaming with play/pause, fast forward, and rewind features.

Pandora Internet Radio, which works with the iPhone via USB connection is included. With simple controls from the head unit to allow the user to forward skip, Pause/Play, Search Station, Artist and Song Title are all shown on-screen to replicate key Pandora functions. Android users will be able to take advantage of Pandora Internet Radio with the new built-in Bluetooth Models KW-AV61BT, KW-AV71BT, and KW-ADV65BT through a Bluetooth connection while still being able to utilize the main controls through the head unit. Full functionality is available when the phone is connected, as well as on-screen album art and song/artist information display.

All models are compatible with JVC’s existing KS-U30 add on video playback adapter for iPod/iPhone which allows iPod video content to be displayed on screen. The KS-U30 also displays content on-screen from some other iPhone applications such as YouTube and Netflix. This cable is currently available and carries an MSRP of $49.95.
