Pioneer Offers $120 Mail-in Rebate On AppRadio 2 Smartphone Powered In-Dash Receiver

Pioneer’s AppRadio 2 SPH-DA100 In-Dash Receiver

LONG BEACH, CA – Pioneer Electronics is offering a $120 mail-in rebate with the purchase an AppRadio 2 smartphone-powered in-dash receiver from any authorized Pioneer retailer through April 30, 2013.

The AppRadio 2 enhances today’s in-vehicle smartphone experience, providing users with convenience and safer access and control of many compatible apps, ranging from audio entertainment to navigation, through its large 7-inch touchscreen display. Users can conveniently connect their compatible smartphones to their vehicle in multiple ways.

iPhone 4 and 4S users can use the included cable that comes with the purchase of an AppRadio 2 and simply plug in their iPhone 4 or 4S. For iPhone 5 users, Pioneer’s AppRadio Mode HDMI Interface Cable Kit (CD-IH202) for iPhone 5 and AppRadio 2 is now available at authorized Pioneer retailers. The kit includes a 2-meter automotive grade HDMI cable, which handles all audio and video transfer between AppRadio 2 and iPhone 5, and a 1.5-meter 17-pin to USB cable for charging an iPhone 5. Consumers must also purchase Apple’s Lightning Digital AV Adapter and Lightning to USB Cable1, as well as perform an AppRadio 2 firmware update.
