Metra’s 99-5828CH Installation Kit
HOLLY HILL, FL – Metra Electronics announced an industry-exclusive aftermarket radio installation kit designed for the installation of single-Din or double-Din size aftermarket radios in the 2011 and up Ford Explorer with the factory 4.3-inch screen.
The 99-5828CH kit is painted a scratch resistant charcoal with matte black inserts to match factory color, style, and finish. Even the factory 4.3” screen is retained for all driver information. Soft touch buttons and a LCD display integrate with and display all HVAC controls.
To complete the installation, you should use the 40-EU10 antenna adaptor, along with the XSVI-5524-NAV from Axxess for basic/non amplified OE systems. Use the AX-ADBOX2 along with the AX-ADFD02 to integrate with OE amplified or premium systems. The ASWC-1 should be used to retain steering wheel controls (optional) and will plug into either of the Axxess interfaces being used in the install for a virtual plug and play install.
