Everyone is going nuts over LaFerrari, but for me is it still all about the FF. Imagine a Ferrari shooting brake that can accommodate two carseats. Make em’ Recaro, of course. The FF will have Apple Siri integrated via electronics provided by Harman. According to Telematics News: “A long press of the infotainment system’s menu button on the steering wheel activates Siri, while commands and audio feedback are picked up clearly and played through built-in microphones and the car’s audio system. Additionally, the volume is adjusted for better comprehensibility— just like the mobile phone, where Siri stops any music being played once it is activated.”
“This Siri integration is an important milestone in the cooperation between HARMAN and Ferrari,” says Michael Mauser, HARMAN’s Executive Vice President. “By transferring the known modus operandi to the car, Ferrari offers its customers the ease of use of their mobile devices with an embedded premium HARMAN infotainment system.”
We are anxious to hear more news about the Apple Ferrari alliance that is supposed to be announced in a few months.
