One of my friends Kecia is an editor over at www.carseatblog.com   One of her friends recently had the pleasure of purchasing a Tesla S at the factory (and I am sure if those floors could talk they are thrilled they don’t have to sullied by Pontiac Vibes anymore), driving it halfway across the country back home, and generally living with an electric vehicle.  Interesting to note Heather’s drive back home: Rather than certain Grey Lady journalists, the ride went as I envisioned it.  Stopping off at some outlet malls to top off the batteries, and not running out of juice in the middle of nowhere.  So what could have been saved on fuel was spent in the land of Tanger instead.  I guess I would rather have some more blue flannel Van Heusen shirts verses BP’s finest go-juice.  Granted, a little planning was used- but that is part of the fun.  Check out this worthwhile REVIEW read: http://carseatblog.com/20927/tesla-model-s-review-the-only-emissions-come-from-the-kids/

And for getting it back home again, or , better put, a long drive in an all-electric vehicle: http://carseatblog.com/21002/driving-graycie-home-the-tesla-model-s-goes-for-a-long-drive/

A big hat tip to CarSeatBlog.com.  No one comes close to the knowledge they have when it comes to properly installing child safety devices in the vehicle.
