Cadillac’s 110 Year History book distributed at the event

I just returned from Cadillac’s holiday party in NYC.  In addition to the very cool 1959 tailfin special they had parked inside Lincoln Center, each of the tables had an iPad Mini to peruse photos of Cadillac through the years.  The iPad connection?  Every new Cadillac XTS comes with an iPad loaded with a special app that mimics the car dashboard, teaching you how to use the infotainment system- CUE (Cadillac User Experience).  The system is also an option on the smaller ATS.

Although the system in the car has a lot of technology from supplier Bosch, the similarities between CUE and the iPad are prevalent.  And that is a good thing.  When we are used to swiping for what we want, transitioning to a multimedia controller can be challenging.  Just ask anyone with a first generation BMW iDrive system.
