Subaru launched an iPad app for those who may be shopping its XV Crosstrek, billed as America’s most fuel-efficient crossover. The app serves the same purpose as a sales brochure, but is more interactive, can contain more information than a traditional printed brochure, and doesn’t require paper– something an eco-conscious Subaru is quick to point out. Subaru  released an iPad app for people interested  in its XV Crosstrek model, building further upon the Japanese automaker’s strategy of offering what it calls “dynamic brochures.”

Available in the iTunes store, the XV Crosstrek iPad app allows shoppers to explore the features of the model Subaru says is the most fuel-efficient crossover utility vehicle on sale in America. Users can experiment with different options and paint colors, view full 360-degree photos of the Crosstrek’s interior and exterior, view videos of the car’s various features, look at comprehensive spec sheets, and more.

In a press release, Subaru said it launched dynamic brochures for electronic platforms in 2011. The practice is in line with Subaru’s mantra of green, sustainable practices that include a “zero-landfill” manufacturing facility located in Indiana.
