Today brought me to a friend who builds custom subwoofer boxes for cars. Even as technology from automakers is increasing exponentially, the lack of bass is still a problem today as it was twenty years ago. As much as we both thought a thriving market for custom subwoofer boxes in today’s prefab Made-in-China world would be as likely as meeting Keira Knightly at the Krispy Kreme in Penn Station. However, his business is thriving. If you have never heard a professionally designed box with a decent subwoofer backed with plenty of power, you are just missing out.
But we still had a nice discussion about subwoofer boxes in cars but it all boiled down to the general rule:
1. Small Size
3. Bass Extension (plays deep bass)
Choose any two of the three.
