We told you about Audi’s self-parking vehicle, but Volvo has seemed to kick it up a notch by adding the variable of pedestrians into the mix. Lyndon reported on the story back in June, but now we got the video. My wife is going to be disappointed. She prides herself on being one of the best parking spot locators in one of the most difficult to navigate lots in the entire Western world- the lot between Nordstroms and Bloomingdales at the Roosevelt Field shopping mall.
I say godspeed to Volvo. The sooner the technology can reduce her pedestrian rage while she scans for people with shopping bags heading out, and reduce full-throttle parking-spot races, the better. The world will be a safer place.
