Audi has always taken a different approach when it comes to advertising their product. One of their longstanding policies has been to take opinion leaders, VIPs, and celebrities and get them into their vehicles. Sometimes at a healthy discount. Sometimes for nothing at all (it is nice to be a celebrity, but at least Howard Stern did pay for his A8- America’s judge has talent picking vehicles).
So anytime the automaker can get its wares in the spotlight, it tries to. Audi will once again sponsor the Emmy awards this year. And the four circles will infiltrate the Green Room. According to Audi the brand is collaborating with designer Joseph Altuzarra to create a uniquely conceptual space. “Bringing to life many of the features found in Audi’s TDI vehicles, the materials, lighting and furniture within the Audi Green Room will embody the Audi and Altuzarra brands, focusing heavily on elements of efficiency and luxury.” In addition, Audi will once again host its annual pre-Emmy Awards celebration on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. The Audi brand has become known for its annual exclusive parties to kick off awards week, and this year’s star-studded event will be held in partnership with Joseph Altuzarra and feature displays of the designer’s stunning red carpet looks.
“I am thrilled to partner with Audi to design the Green Room at the 65th Emmy Awards and to be a part of the brand’s annual pre-Emmy celebration. The aesthetic and principles of Altuzarra align perfectly with the Audi brand, specifically the focus on sophisticated modern silhouettes and unparalleled luxury. I look forward to bringing these features to life at this year’s Emmy Awards.”
The Audi Green Room will be revealed on Wednesday, September 18, during the Red Carpet rollout for the 65th Emmys telecast. The Audi Green Room will once again be a part of “Backstage Live,” a unique digital multi-screen destination on Emmys.com and CBS.com/emmy-awards, providing fans with a robust and immersive Emmy viewing experience simultaneous to the telecast on CBS. CBS.com/emmy-awards, presented by Audi, will also include special features such as a Red Carpet online pre-show, live footage behind the scenes of the Emmys telecast, engaging content related to the nominees, and social media activity.
