This week I am reviewing a 2013 Honda Accord Touring Elite.  When you trick out a brand new Accord with all of the technological wonders, it becomes pretty amazing.  After all, even some Acura vehicles with higher price points don’t offer all of the technology of the new Accord.  It’s cutting-edge technology coming crashing into the arms of America’s middle class.  And some would argue the Accord is more ‘American’ than some of its competitors that are hecho en México.

One cool feature is- LaneWatch.  When the right turn signal is activated, a camera located in the passenger side door mirror shows the blind spot on the passenger side of the vehicle.  It illuminates on the larger of the two TFT screens in the center console.  The system can be toggled on or off, or set up to run constantly.  However, after an IIHS study on the lack of potency of current blind spot avoidance system, a camera seems to be the bees’ knees.  After all, a view of the street sure tops a small LED in the side view mirror.  Nice job, Honda!
