I have to give it up for BMW for having the chutzpah to launch models in the US that typically sell is paltry amounts.  Like the BMW 5 GT.  They look downright weird to American buyers!  Especially this new 4 series that has 4 doors compared to all of the other vehicles underneath the 4 umbrella (including the sexy new M4) that just have two doors.  It also has a lifted look that may do well in the snow but we’ll reserve full judgement until we can see it in person.  Hatchbacks just do not carry Yankee sex appeal.  On the other hand, if the tooling is there why not give it a shot- when it comes to practicality hatches rule over their sedan counterparts.  Except if you are a mobster livery and you need typically have your fares in the trunk.
