Yesterday I was reviewing BMW’s Night Vision with Dynamic Light Spot. The company Autoliv was recently interviewed by automotive journalist Lou Ann Hammond. In her interview, she brings up the excellent points of not only saving people’s lives, but animals. According to Stewart Klapper, Managing Director of Autoliv, their new Animal Detection System technology will first ‘hit’ a new 2013 Audi, with other automakers to follow.
According to Klapper through a State Farm survey, there are about 1.1 Million deer vehicle incidents with 3.5 billion dollars worth of vehicle damage. Their hope is to not only save the animals, but reduce insurance costs through this technology. Now that’s a Good Eye Deer.
